Congratulations!
You will meet our team at your first appointment. Our reception team will greet you warmly and collect your GP referral along with any test results you may have. You will then see one of our midwives. Alex or Gina will take your blood pressure, weigh you and discuss any concerns you may have. If you are experiencing nausea and vomiting for example, the midwives can provide helpful tips and support. You will then see James. A thorough history will be taken and tests may be organized. An ultrasound is done to confirm the pregnancy, and a plan will be put in place to create a fulfilling, safe and empowered pregnancy journey for you and your family.
Sadly some women will experience a miscarriage. Should this occur to you, you will be very well supported in a holistic way by our whole team. Management choices will be discussed and organized accordingly, and advice regarding future pregnancies will be given. Additionally, we are able to connect you with a range of external support service to meet your needs.
